Babylonian Captivity

As a result of king of Judah’s rebellion against him, King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, besieged Jerusalem until it surrendered in 597 BC. He appointed a king loyal to him in it, but soon he sought help from Pharaohs to take over the control of Babylonians (Chaldeans). Nebuchadnezzar defeated the Babylonians. He entered Jerusalem in 586 BC, destroyed it, robbed its safes and transported them to Babylon and captivated its people to Babylon.
